There’s not a lot of positives to take from this one.
With the exception of a few minutes early in the game the Beavers were really never in it. The final was Colorado 82, OSU 60.
Craig Robinson said he was disappointed in the poor effort.
“This was not a typical Oregon State game that we have come to get used to producing and the fans have got used to us playing much better than this,” he said.
The Beavers knew the Buffaloes like to run and never slowed them down.
Colorado outscored OSU 22-8 in fastbreak points and had 42 points in the paint.
The Buffaloes hit 18 of 21 free throws while the Beavers were 14 of 28.
The Beavers were also miserable from the field, hitting 36.2 percent (21-58).
“We missed too many close around the basket and we missed too many foul shots. You can’t miss 14 foul shots on the road,” Robinson said. “Even if it’s a close game you’re not going to win it.”
Colorado outrebounded the Beavers 43-31.
Jared Cunningham and Devon Collier both had 12 points and Eric Moreland had nine points and nine rebounds for the Beavers.
“We’re not one of those teams who say, ‘oh we were due for a bad game,’ Robinson said. “We’re never due for a bad game. We’ve got to play well.
“If you want to be good in this league you have to play well night in and night out, especially on the road.”
The Beavers head to Salt Lake City for a game at Utah on Saturday afternoon.
A snow storm has scuttled plans to get to SLC on schedule Friday, so the Beavers will practice at Colorado and then try to get to Utah.

This one really looked ugly. The team has been up and down lately. It seems they get going and then trip and fall
